For grades 9-12, we offer Date Rape Awareness Training and Understanding Sexual Violence presentations that are approximately 50 minutes. This curriculum teaches that sexual violence is not about sex, but about power and control. We review the elements of dating violence which will help our youth/teenagers understand the multiple variables and choices they face. Factual information is delivered through scenarios and interactive classroom discussions. Students are given opportunities to ask hard questions in a supportive and nurturing environment. We will encourage students to further this valuable dialogue with peers, families, and teachers.
